Boojum Tree
The boojum tree, native to arid areas such as the Baja California Peninsula in northwestern Mexico, may reach heights of up to 20 m ( 66 ft ). Older specimens may twist into unusual shapes. The tree was named after a monster in Lewis Carroll’s poem, The Hunting of the Snark.
