Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge
The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, a federally controlled reserve northwest of Lawton, Oklahoma, contains many secluded spots such as Cache Creek. The refuge has gained popularity for its impressive animal life, which includes herds of longhorn cattle, deer, and elk. It’s particularly noted, however, for the wild bison which roam the reserve’s prairie grasslands.
