Although most of Mozart’s concertos and sonatas were written for his own instrument, the piano, some of the chamber works composed during the middle period of his life featured flute, oboe, and bassoon. These works stand as examples of Mozart’s expressive style. Written in 1777, Mozart’s Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra in C Major was performed several times by the famed German oboist Friedrich Ramm.
