Polar Bear on an Ice Floe

Polar Bear on an Ice Floe
The polar bear, the largest of the terrestrial carnivores, is found along the northernmost coasts of the northern hemisphere as well as on sea ice floes and islands. Strong swimmers, polar bears paddle with their front legs and steer with the rear and have been known to swim as far as 80 km (50 mi).
