Oyster Toadfish

Oyster Toadfish
This oyster toadfish attempts to catch its prey, which includes worms, snails, crabs, squid, and other fish, by lying in wait near similarly colored rocks. Toadfish are unusual for nesting in tin cans, broken bottles, sneakers, and other sunken refuse during their spawning period. The toadfish produces sounds as loud as 100 decibels during courtship rites by vibrating its swim bladder.
