Roman Ruins in Algeria
Timgad was a large Roman city founded in the 2nd century ad in what is now Algeria. The city was named for the Roman emperor Trajan’s sister. So many well-preserved remnants of Roman buildings have been found in the area that it is sometimes called the the Numidian Pompeii.
