The Education of Dogs

The Education of Dogs
French painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard excelled at painting flowery, delicately colored scenes of frivolous romance. A favorite of French kings Louis XV and Louis XVI, Fragonard depended on the nobility for his livelihood. When the nobility were driven from power during the French Revolution (1789-1799), Fragonard was reduced to poverty.
