Buster Keaton
American motion-picture actor, director, and writer Buster Keaton made some of the most brilliant comedies of the silent era. He began his career on the stages of vaudeville and moved to film in 1917. In 1959 Keaton received an honorary Academy Award “for his unique talents which brought immortal comedies to the screen.”
