Sir Humphry Davy
British chemist Humphry Davy became known for his pioneering research on the relationship between electrical energy and chemical reactions, a field known as electrochemistry. In the early 1800s he used a method called electrolysis to isolate the elements sodium, potassium, barium, boron, calcium, and magnesium.
