Countee Cullen

Countee Cullen
American poet Countee Cullen was an important member of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. He wrote lyric poetry about the black American experience but avoided stereotyping his characters. Cullen published several volumes of poetry including Color (1925) and Copper Sun (1927).
