The Hebrides, a group of 500 islands in western Scotland, consist of two groups, the Outer Hebrides and the Inner Hebrides. Isle of Skye, the largest island of the Inner Hebrides, is dominated by the Cuillin Hills. The chief occupations on the Hebrides are fishing, sheep and cattle raising, and tourism.
