Original White House

Original White House
United States President John Adams and his family were the first to live in the White House in Washington, D.C., pictured here as it looked about that time. They moved there in November 1800. But the name White House did not become official until 1901, when United States President Theodore Roosevelt had the name engraved on his stationery.
