Drawing Media and Styles

Drawing is the basis of all other art forms. Although drawing is often considered a kind of exercise or preparation for other techniques, it is also thought of as an end in itself. Drawing styles are infinitely varied. Some of the most commonly used media are pencil, charcoal, conté, pen-and-ink, ink wash, chalk, and crayon.
