European Wild Boar
The European wild boar is distinguished by large, upturned canine teeth and large body size. Its hearing and smell are well developed and warn the wild boar of approaching danger. Wild boars usually feed in family groups on a variety of fungi, ferns, and plant parts, including grasses, leaves, fruit, and roots. In addition to plants, wild boars also occasionally eat small mice, frogs, birds, and invertebrates such as insects and worms.
