Walter F. Mondale
Walter Frederick Mondale was the 42nd United States vice president, serving during Jimmy Carter’s administration. Mondale received the 1984 Democratic presidential nomination, but was defeated by incumbent President Ronald Reagan. Prior to being Carter’s vice president, Mondale served two terms as a U.S. senator from Minnesota.
