John Paul Jones

John Paul Jones
Born John Paul in Scotland, he took the name Jones to hide his identity from the British navy, which considered him a pirate. In 1775, Jones entered the newly formed Continental navy. In an epic battle off the coast of England, Jones defeated and captured the British warship Serapis.
