Davy Crockett
One of the most famous frontiersmen in United States history, Davy Crockett was an expert hunter, scout, and soldier. Widely known in Tennessee, he was elected three times to the U.S. Congress. After his final term expired, he went to Texas, where he was killed while defending The Alamo.
