Common Adder

Common Adder
The common adder, a member of the viper family, is the only venomous snake that lives north of the Arctic Circle. The snake’s triangular head is expanded at the rear to accommodate the large venom glands. The common adder generally feeds on small rodents and can grow to a maximum size of 90 cm (35 in).
