| Only about one-sixth of the land area in Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) is under cultivation. Nevertheless, Myanmar grows enough rice to have a surplus for export. Other crops include fruits and vegetables, corn, wheat, millet, tobacco, jute, cotton, and rubber. Most crops are raised on small family farms. | ||||||
