During the early part of the 19th century much of Ohio’s income was derived from agriculture. With the advent of the Industrial Revolution, however, Ohio’s economic focus shifted to manufacturing. Today, the state manufactures a wide variety of electric and nonelectric products. Here, tires are tested at the Goodyear plant in Akron, Ohio.
