| Among the Roman remains excavated in Algeria and now in the Gsell Museum in Algiers are this bust of the Roman goddess Minerva and the mosaic behind it. Minerva, the goddess of handicrafts, was also identified with warfare and often represented with a helmet and crest, as in this sculpture. | ||||||
