Bolivians Recruited for the Chaco War
In 1932 war broke out between Paraguay and Bolivia as the result of a border dispute in the Gran Chaco region. The war left both sides exhausted by the time a ceasefire was signed three years later. This photograph shows Bolivians being recruited for battle in the first days of the fighting.
