White Quebracho

White Quebracho
Quebracho trees grow in tropical regions of South America and are especially identified with the Gran Chaco region of Argentina, Paraguay, and Bolivia. The bark of the white quebracho, shown here, yields a substance used in treating asthma symptoms. The red quebracho provides wood for construction and tannins used in tanning leather.
