Octavio Paz
Mexican essayist and poet Octavio Paz spent many years working in Mexico’s diplomatic corps as an advocate for social reform. His highly acclaimed essays examine aspects of the Mexican psyche and culture. In 1990 Paz became the first Mexican writer to win the Nobel Prize in literature.
