Stagecoach
American director John Ford’s Stagecoach (1939) played an important role in reviving the genre of the film Western. Complex, mature characters and themes combined with stunning landscape and innovative cinematography made the movie highly influential and successful. It also featured a young actor that would forge a legendary career playing the Western hero—John Wayne, far right.
