Campobello, island in New Brunswick, eastern Canada, in the Bay of Fundy. The island, with an area of 70 sq km (30 sq mi), is mainly a resort. It is best known as having been the summer home of former United States president Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1933-1945). Roosevelt Campobello International Park is located on the island and includes Roosevelt’s former home. An international bridge connects Campobello with Lubec, Maine. Population (1991) 1,317.
