The best-known quadrilaterals are the square, with four internal right angles, four sides of equal length, and four axes of symmetry; the rectangle, with four internal right angles, opposite sides that are equal in length, and two axes of symmetry; the rhombus, with four equal sides and two axes of symmetry; the parallelogram, with two pairs of parallel sides that are equal in length; and the trapezoid, with two parallel sides of unequal length.
