Tex Avery

Tex Avery (1907–1980), American animator and director, whose works are characterized by comic, frequently surreal scenes of violence. Avery worked at Warner Bros., where he helped develop the animated characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. In 1942 he moved to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), where he created the characters Droopy the Dog and Screwball Squirrel, among others. Avery was born Frederick Bean.
