Jailhouse Rock

Jailhouse Rock, motion picture about a teenager who learns to play guitar in prison. Released in 1957, this film stars Elvis Presley as Vince Everett, who accidentally kills a man in a minor bar scuffle and is thrown in prison. With plenty of time on his hands, Everett learns how to play and sing in jail with the other convicts singing and dancing along with him. This popular film features the hit songs “Treat Me Nice,” “Baby, I Don’t Care,” “I Wanna Be Free,” and “Jailhouse Rock,” the latter featuring choreography by Presley himself.
