Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, motion picture about archaeologist Indiana Jones’s efforts to locate the Holy Grail. Released in 1989, this is the third film in the Indiana Jones series of action movies, which also includes Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). The movie won an Academy Award for Best Sound Effects. Nazis kidnap Jones’s father (played by Sean Connery) in order to learn the location of the artifact and harness its mystical powers. Indiana Jones (played by Harrison Ford) travels to Germany to rescue his father, and the two work together to keep the Holy Grail away from the Nazis. River Phoenix plays the young Indiana Jones.
