Hans Christian Andersen (motion picture), musical about the life of Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen. Released in 1952, this fictional account of the author’s life features Danny Kaye as Andersen. As a young shoemaker, Andersen discovers his talent for writing and tells several of his stories, including “Thumbelina” and “The King’s New Clothes.”
