Carrie, motion picture based on the novel by Stephen King about a girl with telekinetic powers. Released in 1976, this film stars Sissy Spacek in an award-winning performance as Carrie, a shy, repressed girl who lives in constant fear of her mentally unstable fundamentalist mother. Carrie uses her ability to move things with her mind in acts of vengeance against her mother and others who tormented her for years.
