Delta State University, public, coeducational institution in Cleveland, Mississippi, about 50 km (about 30 mi) northeast of Greenville. Founded in 1925, the school is part of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning. Delta State University confers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in a variety of fields.
