Saint Paul’s Church National Historic Site, national historic site authorized in 1978, originally designated in 1943. Located in Mount Vernon, New York, the site preserves an 18th-century church in the former town of Eastchester. Before the American Revolution (1775-1783), the town was the site of political and religious dissension. The church was constructed between 1763 and 1805 and served as a hospital during the Revolution. The former parish hall features exhibits about the church and local history. The adjoining cemetery dates back to the early 18th century. Administered by the National Park Service. Area, 2.5 hectares (6.1 acres).
