JoAnne Carner, born in 1939, American golfer, whose accomplishments include five United States Amateur Championships, five Ladies Professional Golfing Association (LPGA) Player of the Year Awards, and five Vare Trophies for the lowest average score for the season. She is the only woman to win the United States Golf Association (USGA) Girls Junior, the U.S. Women's Amateur, and the U.S. Women's Open titles.

Born JoAnne Gunderson in Kirkland, Washington, she began playing golf at the age of ten. She won the 1956 USGA Girls Championship and claimed the U.S. Amateur championship five times (1957, 1960, 1962, 1966, and 1968). In 1969, while still an amateur, she won an LPGA event, the Burdine's Invitational.

Carner joined the LPGA tour in 1970, winning her first tournament as a professional in the Wendell West Open. She finished the year at No. 11 in the LPGA rankings and was named the tour's Rookie of the Year. In 1971 she won the U.S. Women's Open. She took the Vare Trophy in 1973 and 1974, finishing first in the LPGA rankings in 1973 and second in 1974. In 1976 she won her second U.S. Women's Open.

Carner's greatest success came in the early 1980s. In 1981 she won four tournaments. In 1982, with five more wins, she was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame. She won the Vare Trophy three seasons in a row beginning in 1981, and she won LPGA Player of the Year Awards in 1982 and 1983. She was also the tour's top money winner in 1982 and 1983. Her last tournament victory came in 1985 at the SAFECO Classic. She posted second-place finishes in at least one tournament every year from 1986 to 1990 and again in 1992 and 1993.
