The second largest city in El Salvador, Santa Ana is a processing and marketing center for coffee, sugar, and grain produced in the surrounding region. Other industries in the city include breweries and cotton mills. The cathedral at Santa Ana is a fine example of Spanish colonial architecture. Nearby is Santa Ana Mountain.
