Lac Saint-Jean

Lac Saint-Jean, also Lake Saint John, lake in south-central Québec Province, Canada. The lake, which has an area of 1,070 sq km (414 sq mi), is fed by a number of streams from the north, including the Mistassini, Peribonca, Mistassibi, and Ashuapmuchuan rivers. It drains to the St. Lawrence River on the east by the Saguenay River. The lake, now a popular resort area, is known for sport-fishing and is the site of pulp and paper mills.
