Biscayne Bay, inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, southeastern Florida. The bay is 60 km (40 mi) long and between 3 and 16 km (2 and 10 mi) wide, and to the east is a series of coral islands known as keys. The resort city of Miami Beach is built on several of these keys.
