Gaius Galerius Valerius Maximinus (died 313), Roman emperor (308-313), a nephew of Emperor Galerius. Maximinus was defeated by Emperor Licinius, with whom he had ruled the eastern half of the Roman Empire, and died soon after. He is said to have been a bitter persecutor of the Christians.
