Callicrates (lived 5th century bc), Greek architect. Callicrates collaborated with the architect Ictinus in designing the Parthenon (dedicated 438 bc) on the Acropolis in Athens in the severe Doric style. He also built temples in the lighter Ionic style, including the Temple of Athena Nike (427 bc), or Wingless Victory, in Athens.
