Harold Edgerton

Harold Edgerton (1903-1990), American electrical engineer. Harold Eugene Edgerton was born in Fremont, Nebraska. He is best known for his development (about 1931) of the modern high-speed electronic stroboscope. Edgerton pursued and developed the application of his device in a wide range of fields, extending from slow-motion photography to production testing to sonar research.
