Boston Mountains, rugged mountain group, south central United States, in northwestern Arkansas and northeastern Oklahoma, the highest section of the Ozark Mountains. Situated north of the Arkansas River, the mountains reach a maximum elevation of 850 m (2,800 ft) near Pettigrew, Arkansas. Several popular recreation spots, including Devil's Den State Park (Arkansas), are located in the Boston Mountains.
