Definition:
 
1. intransitive verb use body movement to speed yacht: to try to make a sailboat go faster by moving your body forward inside the boat and then stopping abruptly, thus imparting kinetic energy to the craft. Ooching is a controversial maneuver and sometimes regarded as cheating in yacht races.

2. transitive and intransitive verb move something: to move or make something move cautiously or slowly ( slang )
told listeners the economy was just ooching along
