| Kra·ji·na [ krī nə ] region of central Croatia on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its predominantly Serbian population opposed Croatia's secession from Yugoslavia, declaring the Serbian Republic of Krajina in 1991. It fell to Croatian forces in 1995. |
