1. physics moving of system from original state: the state of a system that will move further from its original condition after experiencing a slight disturbance

2. economics economic equilibrium not recovering quickly: economic equilibrium that is not restored if it is disrupted by an outside influence, e.g. a change in one of the demand or supply determinants
