Mar·ma·ra, Sea of [ mrmərə ] or Mar·mo·ra, Sea of [ mrmərə ] inland sea in northwestern Turkey, separating the Asian and European regions of the country. It is connected with the Black Sea by the Bosporus and with the Aegean Sea by the Dardanelles.
