Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Pro·vence [ àyk saaN prō vNs, èk saaN prō vNss ] city in the Bouches-du-Rhône Department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region of southeastern France. It was the first Roman settlement in Gaul.
Population: 134,222 (1999).
