1. not stretchy: unable to return quickly to its original shape and size after being bent, stretched, or squashed

2. not easily changed: unable to incorporate changes or adapt to new circumstances easily

3. physics not affecting translational kinetic energy: describes a collision that does not lead to an overall loss of translational kinetic energy

4. economics insensitive to price changes: describes supply or demand that is not affected by fluctuations in price
