Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb adopt posture: to adopt a physical posture for a photograph or painting, or position somebody or something for this purpose

2. intransitive verb impersonate somebody or something: to pretend to be somebody or something else
got past the security guards by posing as a reporter

3. transitive verb present something: to be the cause of something such as a problem, threat, danger, or challenge
a breakdown of negotiations that poses a threat to peace
