1. red, green, or blue: each of the three basic colors of the spectrum, red, yellow, or blue primary additive colors, from which all other colors can be blended
2. cyan, magenta, or yellow: each of the three basic colors, cyan, magenta, or yellow primary subtractive colors, which, when subtracted from white, can produce all other colors
